A Little Bit About Me:

My name is Sandra Baxter but I go by "Sandy". I worked in the banking industry for over 13 years and while working in the corporate field, I planned fund raisers, birthday parties, special luncheons and holiday parties for my co-workers as well as the company.  One day several years ago a co-worker of mine was engaged to be married and asked if I would be her wedding coordinator.  I was so thrilled and proud that she had the confidence in me and my abilities to ask me to take on this very special occasion and so I decided to do just that.  I ended up getting the wedding planning bug!  From that day on I decided that planning weddings was the career for me and I decided to take a course in wedding planning, coordination and design.  I continued to stay in the banking industry, working part time and planning weddings on the side for the next several years until one day I decided to venture out of the banking industry to plan weddings full time.  I am an active member of ILEA (International Live Events Association) and WPSV (Wedding Professionals of Southeastern Virginia).  I am a preferred wedding planner at several wedding venues throughout the Hampton Roads area.  I take Wedding Planning Webinars on a regular basis as well as attending Wedding Seminars & Conferences to stay on top of all the new trends and interesting design concepts and decor going on in the wedding industry, because as we all know things are ever changing and it's imperative for me to be on top of all things wedding for my awesome couples.  I absolutely love what I do and every wedding is different with more opportunities to grow and use my creative side in various ways.  I love working with couples on their wedding and bringing their dreams and ideas to fruition and making this a day they will always remember with fond memories to last a lifetime.

A free consultation will be scheduled.  A quote for service can be given after the needs of the Couple are determined. It's simply impossible to give a random quote for services because every Couple is different with unique needs, including guest count size, ending time, late night snack preparations, unique vendors to manage, is the wedding going past 11:30 pm and so on.  Please keep in mind; basing your decision on a planner should be based on experience, personality and the ability to meet your wedding vision needs.
